Quite an existential question there. Let me introduce myself.

Hello my name is Jade I am a multi disciplinary artist based in north east New South Wales Australia.

I was one of those kids who didn’t want to put down the brush and pick up the pen. When I did I tended to be doodling in the margins between taking notes.

I like to work in the intersections of humanity and the natural landscape. The seeming divide is interesting to me as we are nature, the separation is psychological.

My body of work is based on the fleeting nature of a moment and capturing some of the magic in the seemingly mundane.

I like to joke that multidisciplinary just means I can’t make up my mind or be chained to one medium. I like to flow with what feels right for the idea or image in my mind. So like materials my subjects change with the wind too.

I cover a wide range of imagery from portraits, landscape, flora fauna and I hope the depth of feeling I hope to portray (that can’t be a physical subject but is there nonetheless.)

I hope to share a lot of the process involved as well as finished polished pieces. It’s a little more raw, vunerable and imperfect but that is humanity.
